That's true but think he would have been more comfortable on the other side but offers little in forward position but more solid defensively than Wallace or Tav who offer more going forward but can't defend probably and get caught out of position too easily.

We need improvements somewhere in the defence. If we're going to stick with a 4-4-2 then we need at least one full back. 

Wallace is the best of a bad bunch but none of our current fullbacks are up to much defensively. Problem is not many full backs in the world are nowadays, they're used as attacking threats for the most part. It's why so many teams are using three centre backs. 

If theres really no better option than Tav and Wallace then we need to do the same. Bring in an additional centre back, change the formation and take the pressure off them two when it comes to defending.

Guardiola playing 3 at back with Walker and Danilo playing has wingbacks just now was thinking if Pedro could bring in another decent CH we could play similar way to City.

In all honestly we need to sign a centre back and a full back what ever we decide to do tactically going forward. We look really short for when we get injuries/suspensions. Don't really rate Wilson at all as a back up unless he can kick on and learn from Bruno like he did with Davie Weir. And even though Wallace isn't the best we looked a lot worse for not having him in the team today

Agree that the defence is one area that needs further strengthening, if you take Alves out I really don't fancy a prolonged spell of Wilson / Cardoso the full back areas have been a concern for years even when Wallace is on I think he has had issues with his fitness since the middle of last season., but due to the lack of a half decent replacement he has to play when perhaps he should be rested.

We seem to only be getting seriously linked to midfielders at the minute when that's the last area of the squad we need to add players to. 

Think we need at least three signings before the end of the month. One full back, one centre back and one more option up front. Ideally get Foderingham out and a new goalie in too.

Said last week that defence was going to leak goals all year , its a step up from the dross Warburton signed which wasn't hard , but still nowhere near good enough.

Even in the first 20 minutes I noticed he was pulled out of position too easily, and did not track back quickly. Did not link up well going forward either.
