The pledge, to recognise the contribution of serving personnel, veterans and their families, was made to the Deputy Commander of 51st Infantry Brigade at an event at the club's Ibrox Stadium.( 2016 ) The Glasgow-based team has long-standing links with the military and will now offer discounted rates for forces personnel at home games. This card wrongly ascribes the goal to Bob McPhail, whom it names and marks with a "x". The photo is a famous Getty Photo Library image that was once featured in the Daily Mail, and can be traced on the internet for confirmation that it was in fact Scotland's Tommy Walker scoring the penalty.
