Brilliant as always @Don54

Rather embarrassingly, even at 27, I feel like I actually know very little about Greig despite his most obvious accomplishments (which I’m sure will make many older Bears gasp in horror :lol:). I think I have his biography somewhere. Will definitely try and start that tonight.

I remember a question from years back,  Who were the 3 brothers who won the Scottish cup for them?   answer   Stein, Peacock  and Evans.     it was said all 3 were Masons, and rumoured  that Stein and Peacock were  Orangemen

john was criticised for not being the most skilful, but with his strength you were guaranteed non stop for 90 min. perfect choice as captain and not useless at skilful stuff.
