One of the few goals from that far back that I remember clearly.  Great day.

Another memory I have of Greig wasn't a goal,  but a game at the San Giro,    I can't remember the year but we were 3-1 up and cruising and he was getting pelters from the jungle,   he juggled the ball then booted it right into the jungle,   or maybe I just dreamt he did lol

First Old Firm game I attended , 12 years old in the Centenary Stand , still have the ticket and programme up in the loft !  I can remember more about this game than many of our later victories over them , that's probably due to the alcohol that accompanied those wins though .

Sandy Archibald

Archibald became a full professional when he joined Rangers, aged 19 from Raith Rovers in 1917.

He made his debut in a 2–0 defeat to the scum in the Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup final in May 1917.

The following season he was an ever-present as Rangers won the League title for the first time in five seasons.

Archibald won thirteen league titles in his seventeen seasons at Rangers. He also won three Scottish Cup medals,

the first of which in 1928, was Rangers' first in 25 years and Archibald scored twice in the final as Rangers humped the scum 4–0 at Hampden.

His final appearance was in a 1–1 draw away to Queen's Park on 30 April 1934. He made 625 appearances and scored 159 goals for Rangers in all competitions.

Ik  who  he is that's why I asked, he actually signed 1945,   he made his debut   against   Queens Park   on    20th   October  1945

and his last game was   against Morton on 5th October 1946,    so it will be very hard   to find him with a number 2   shirt

as  numbered shirts were first introduced in Scotland in 1946 but were not compulsory until 1960.
