From where I was at the match looking at it side on looked like Jack definitely put his head forward to broadfoot, as soon as he done we all thought he was getting sent off, amazed when the ref only showed yellow, and even more astounded when he brought out the red.

Shouldn't have done it, simple as that.

Jack needs to learn how to control his aggression. He seriously let himself and the team down last night. Getting red carded once might be unfortunate, twice he deserved a bollocking, three times is beyond the pale !

Jack seems to knee Broadfoot after much provocation. For Jack to be allowed to be provoked like that and for Broadfoot to act like he did and going down like heā€™d been shot,Ā theĀ pair of them are a disgrace.Ā

Agree, Jack should have laughed and walked away.

There is no headbutt and there is no kick. You've got Broadfoot standing on his toes and Jack pushes him. It's yet another wrong against us that Jack has been red carded whilst the main aggressor gets off with a yellow.

Jack remains a fucking idiot though.

You are wrong though he did nothing to warrant being sent off.

I like that he likes a bit of fight but he has to be smarter. He played into the eggs mans plan, he needs to seriously wisen up. 4 red card in less than 3 months is ridiculous, Iā€™m not saying he deserves them all but he has probably given the referee a decision to make which wonā€™t go in our favour in this day and age.

Wisen up Jack or youā€™ll just continue to be a liability.

from that clip it looks like the ref seen the head movement = yellow. butĀ it also looks like he kicked at him as well that he may have missed so lino or 4th telling him that also took place so it would be upgraded to the 2nd yellow. showing the straight red would be right for the two actions so possibly yellow is rescinded and it goes to just the red for disciplinary action. not defending time it took but a possible explanation.

Aye, no denying that we were shite, but with the amount of links to a replay of it, I can't believe the amount of people on here that STILL think Jack headbutted him. Clubfoot should get a retrospective red for diving. Went down holding his face, when all it was, was a push.Ā

Clubfoots actions throughout the whole incident were disgusting and his subsequent rolling about holding his face were as bad as Laffertys. As usual the instigator in these cases gets off with it and we bear the brunt of the punishments dished out by incompetent officials.

Does the ref have the authority to just change his mind like that after already booking the player

Asked the sameĀ at the time, none of the regular RM experts has answered.

At your service.......

The referee may only change a decision on realising that it is incorrect or, at his discretion, on the advice of an assistant referee or the fourth official, provided that he has not restarted play or terminated the match. (Law 5)

A new manager will sort Jack out, sure pedro was squaring up to people and fighting with people on the touchline. A new manager will warn his players not to get involved in silly things like this.
