Barry Ferguson could be set for a return to Ibrox

SunSport understands Rangers will make their move for McInnes in the next 24 hours

SunSport understands former Treble-winning captain Ferguson has been discussed for a role alongside current Pittodrie assistant Tony Docherty.

The 39-year-old, who has been a football pundit since quitting as Clyde boss in February, played with McInnes at Ibrox between 1995 and 2000.

Pedro Caixinha interviewed Fergie for a backroom role last March but opted for Jonatan Johansson.

Now he could land a dream Gers return.

thought this deserved its own thread.

I think having him in the dressing room for games against the likes of the taigs could be a good thing

1-0 down against the scum at half time and someone to tell them exactly what they are and what to do. None of this Warburton keep going pish.

Id expect him to get rid of that hugging and high fiving them after a defeat pish aswell. The likes of Windass needs someone to get him told when he decides to revert back to the lazy bastard we all know he can be

Docherty can get as far to fuck as possible.

Not sure if I would rather a coach who had more tactical knowledge and experience though as a number 3 at a club this size should really be more than someone to shout at folk and talk us up, at present he wouldn’t be much more use than that.

Brown back scouting Barry Ferguson coaching, Goram as goalie coach, Walter as consultant. Miller captain and Butcher in as defensive coach.

Just need Andy Cameron as DOF and Ally as groundsman/media/karaoke  director and we're good to go.............
