Rangers Trivia Thread

There’s a good number of auld cunts on here that might be able to teach youth like myself of perhaps little known facts related to Rangers :mutley:

I’ll start off with a more commonly known piece of knowledge. The dressing rooms at Ibrox were used to keep prisoners of war during WW2.

There’s unconfirmed accounts that Polish soldiers guarded them and used to kick their arses up the terraces if any of them managed to find an opportunity to go for a gander about the ground

Christ, I’d like to see a list of international sides that haven’t used Murray Park

Always found that to be a bit of a compliment to how good the facilities are considering the Koreans could have went anywhere in Europe basically

At John Greigs testimonial Gordon MacQueen and Joe Jordan were delayed resulting in Derek Johnstone and Sandy Jardine starting in the Scotland team. When MacQueen and Jordon finally arrived on the park Ibrox erupted to the song (we hate Man Utd , we hate Man Utd, we are the Man Utd haters) Big Joe Jordon ran  straight over to the Rangers fans in the Copland rd end teeth out and fist in the air. Today he would have been arrested for enciting a riot under OBFA.

Four working class lads, almost penniless to a man, formed the greatest football club ever known. From a country the size of Scotland, for a football club to have achieved such success and World wide fame and recognition, to say that we have punched above our weight throughout our history would be the biggest of all understatements.

The very first season of a National Football League in Scotland began in season 1890-91 and Rangers won it along with Dumbarton. Amazingly both teams had identical points at the end of the season which resulted in a play-off to decide the Champions. This resulted in a 2-2 draw and both teams were announced as joint winners.
