Have you heard of Bravehound?

The Founder, Fiona McDonald was a guest of honour alongside our very own GB at the Erskine Military Ball. She shared details of what is involved in the Charity and we thought it a very worthwhile cause which might benefit from our support.

Located in Erskine Bishopton and voted Best Charity in the National Lottery Awards surely assures us that this initiative has suitable credentials and pedigree to warrant our attention.

We cannot name the dug so, Broxi is not an option. Interestingly, the dogs actually have to be named after Dickin Medal Winners. GB also mentioned something about a pigeon called Billy but I think we need to leave that for another day.

Now comes the interesting bit:

To offer support we would need to aim for a sum of £420 to pay for a year's sponsorship up-front. Some generous Erskine Members have already pledged or donated and I will of course list these Bears later in the thread.

If you feel you would also like to get involved then please PM @Zetland for PayPal or Bank details. Send the amount of your choice which can be anything from £5 and upwards and then PM @govanblue to let him know you have donated. Maybe mention "dug" in the PM as this will help to get his attention!

Thanks in anticipation of your support.

Unfortunately @Perth_Campsie_Ger put himself in charge of the pics whilst some of us had to go back to work!

Can you think of any reason why I can’t take out a Contract on him @govanblue

@Bears r us will be along shortly with his “Wee Westie Dug” pictures. I very much doubt he will be able to resist. ???

William of Orange was the name of the Pigeon. :UK:

Would seem the perfect choice given the reason for the award.
