Just one of the reasons why I'm starting to hate modern football. rbt1548 and BertContraband
Dickie 12,905
Is It not the club that are trying to force him out because of his wages. Coleman knows Rodwell is training with youths he is a smarmy cunt. I don’t see what rodwell has done wrong.
TMB 14,167
‘We’re stuck with a player that doesn’t want to play for Sunderland and wants to leave, but then where’s he going to leave and go to? ‘He doesn’t want to play for us. The stumbling block is the contract.’ It sounds like they've landed their very own version of Michael O'Halloran. I agree with you on Coleman though.
G.E.C. 18,768
Pretty sure they’ve never won a game that he’s played in.

Straight-Edge-Loyal 6,686
He's well within his rights isn't he on 80 grand a week?
BlearyEyedBear 4,148
No wonder Sunderland are skint. Paying a player £73k-a-week to sit on his arse.
Creampuff 22,628
Tbh Sunderland need to get over themselves. Moaning about having to honour a contract they gave out... They’re just raging he won’t leave without a payoff, and why would he? BertContraband

We probably spend double that for all the players we have that sit on their arse not doing shit. Im not even talking about the pricks in our first team either. tannerall 25,935
Maybe we could get him on a cheeky wee loan for beginning of next season ? Not far from Sunderland to Glasgow. Would help us and help Sunderland by putting him in the shop window.
BertContraband 282
Strange to think him and Dan gosling were playing for Everton In 2010 and looked impressive. Gosling now the better of the 2. If we could get a player like rodwell on a free and get him focussed on his football and feeling part of a big club we could sell back to england for a decent fee. frenv 2,125
We've got enough players on the books needing shifted without taking on another who clearly doesn't want to play - loan or not.
