Ian Ferguson got overlooked by Scotland countless times but I'd take him before Simon Donnelly any day. It means nothing. Just the national managers at that particular times opinion. And in terms of Gerrard we’ve just brought the biggest name there’s been to come to Scotland in nearly 30 years to the club and he’s brought an assistant who’s experienced and knows what it’s all about and a coach who’s one of the most highly regarded in England. Why shouldn’t people have reason to optimistic and happy with that, especially after all the crap we’ve had to suffer through for the best part of a decade? Only 19 because he was injured for a good few months. Their fans are gutted he's leaving, even though they can now afford (partly due to his contribution) to bring in better, which says a lot about him. I'm against doing most of our recruitment from down south due to the over valuation of most of the players, but your post gives me the impression you don't take have a clue.
