Players will be wearing strips long before we get to buy them. Hope this is true

Yip and some shrewd Thai or Turkish machinist will knock out copies for about 7 quid and with people desperate to get them, they will buy these sniders, leading to a big loss in actual shirt sales

Ashley has no control over JD Sports , it's main shareholders is Pentland group who also have Berghaus etc

He also has a stake in 18Montrose which is owned and ran by Four Marketing

Cruise & SD he is the main share holder so that's different

Highly doubt the majority of folk that buy the knock offs won't be buying the tops when they come out. Maybe the folk that can't afford to buy for a whole family won't be buying them..

Not if u buy direct

How direct are u meaning, cause the only way u won’t be buying from JD is if u walk into marble staircase reception and slap £50 on the desk and say geez a shirt please lol

SD still have first refusal on any new retail deal - so have they rejected us

You are of course correct SD do indeed have the option to extend the contract having first refusal on any new deal, of course king can negotiate with whoever he likes that doesn't negate SD's right to first refusal. Just means that SD aren't spending anything on negotiations it is all done for them by king and whatever other retailer.

SD simply appear at one minute to midnight, to either exercise the right of first refusal or not.

Amusingly I have seen king's failure to disclose this as being excused for the same reason as king failing to disclose the SD/Ashley pay off, fans of The Rangers would have been upset. I doubt that greatly, not many fans outside of the internet care too much from whom they get their merchandise, as long as they get it.

The final decision will be down to SD whither they can match any deal with any other retailer, if they decide they can and will SD will still be our retail partner, the nub of first refusal.

And they'll send you straight round to the club megastore which will most likely be a big JD

MA owns shares in literally  every major company in the UK he has his fingers in plenty of pies.

It’s hardly a problem he has 6% in JD

He loves to sit over 5%.  Just enough sway to call an EGM.

Agreed though, right now it's not a problem, he could end up buying out JD though

I’m sure he owns shares in random things like Firetrap and that, you literally can’t get away from him in the UK unfortunately

Just find a fucking way to sell the strips Rangers and bring in the millions we want to spend to wear the colours and put money into the club...

This, nothing easy where Rangers are concerned!
