Ever applauded an opposition player at Ibrox?

It’s something I hate seeing normally, particularly in derby games.

Only ever done it once for Kaka after scoring a belter against us in a friendly for AC Milan. Bounced Davis off him and whipped it into the corner from memory.

Gerrard got a good reception when taking corners during the 4-0 friendly.

One guy who deserved it but obviously never got it (quite rightly so too) was Riquelme after his display at Ibrox, the guy was unreal.

Was it not Lampard who got the great reception taking corners?

Mendieta for Valencia.

I remember when we played Valencia over there, they had lost their first 3 league games and were supposedly "in a crisis" , well they absolutely took us apart . It was 3nil going on 7 , they got to the final that year and no wonder. Mendieta was the main man as well.

A young Ghanaian player called Abedi Pele who was in a different league to everyone else on the park during a pre-season friendly around the early-mid 90s.

Standing ovation when substituted from all 4 stands that evening iirc.
