Maybe not for 90 minutes but he'd give us a strong attacking presence off the bench. I think he could do a job for us.
King_gazza 1,065
Bench player for me same as Murphy. We need better quality, younger players
The Ibrox Derry 9,226
We will only know for sure by playing him once he's fit. Hopefully as I feel sorry for the guy, had a shit time with injuries. Definitely a true blue.
OrangeRab 3,395
Don't doubt his skill and he has a decent shot on him. But I doubt at 31 he will get back to a fitness level where he needs to be. Too big a risk. Think this is the hardest position to scout for. Can't think of anyone for loan or sub 3 million that screams out either. BlueAvenger 10,756
He isn't good enough. Get rid of him
Colin Traive 23,864
Not convinced he’s been fit since he got here. Trying too hard to please when he should have been building his strength. Get him fully fit, a mini close-season if you like, couple of reserve games and see how he goes for final thirty once or twice. At his best, he’s too good to throw away without seeing what difference Gerrard and McAllister make to him. CharlieT

He deserves the chance to prove himself under Gerrard though. This 100%
stuart1994 4,536
Never rated him since we signed him. Wouldn’t be bothered if he never played for us again.
K.A.I 36,183
Would like to see him play in our new formation and with different players around him that we've got now. I said last season that I think he's talented but is on very thing ice - he needs to perform or there's no hiding place for him and his time will be up. .Williamson. 87,352
Think he did not bad in games when played further up the field
King Jela 21,684
He’s shite and there’s no point in painting a shite gold. Past it, injury prone and nothing to suggest he’s got what’s required. Bin him.
ElBufalo20 8,160
Legs have gone! This phrase only came about on here for Dorrans now it's stuck for some reason. Pretty pathetic in my eyes. He can still do a job for us and will be important when fully fit.
BlueMe 25,327
My mate just text me saying he's been ruled out till next year after seeing a specialist. Dont know if it's true or not.

It's a shame the way it's going for him and a big waste of money for us. BlueMe
sassaaaa 11,406
Said before we signed him he was a fuckin donkey. Was hoping he might have been sold or paid off like the rest of the duds.
ShanksRFC 3,882
Can't see him getting up to the required fitness going by his repetitive injuries, bit of a waste. https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/08/blogs/dorrans-expected-to-be-out-until-2019/
james_85 665
Was being played wrongly as the sitting midfielder. Will be a good addition to the team when fit but should only be brought in when fully fit. No need to rush guys back when we now look like we have a proper squad that we can use
Amac9 2,060
Probably still be back before Rossiter.
JentleJames 199
The OP makes a good point, last season Dorrans was trying to play every midfield position at once, with Coulibaly and Jack behind him he could play an advanced role and be creative knowing he doesn’t have to worry as much defensively. BlueKnight87 17,882
Dorrans should be only brought back into the team when fully fit. Previous managers tried in him that sitting midfield role which he doesn't suit. I think he could still contribute in an advanced midfield role. berkshirebear 3,189
How did we not get Dorrans at his peak, when you think of some of the dross weve paid fortunes on?
Valance1690 4,097
All this shit about how he might be able to do a job when he's fully fit and in a better team...could've said the same for most of the dross we signed last year, they all had something about them but when it came to cutting it for us on a weekly basis, they didn't have it in them. Can't afford to be sitting waiting, until next year now, on a guy who could maybe possibly do a job in a different position to last season...should just try and cut our loses on him now (if possible) & focus elsewhere, another player well past his prime that we're stuck with (on a very healthy wage I'm guessing)

plumbGER 24,518
He had a few good seasons for West Brom more than 3 years ago and has been pretty rotten since, don't see what people seem to see in him at all. WILLIAM BEAR
