slimjim1690 4,534
Expected most of the replies TBH, but one of my main reasons for making this suggestion is with Murphy now gone I can’t for the life of me see where any goals are going to come from on the left, Kent has no end product, Middleton can supply a ball but doesn’t look a goal scoring threat, whereas at least Wallace has scored a few in his time, I still think it may be worth a shot at least. Smile 26,600
He could still play at left back we have choices now and will rotate the squad.
EMRFC 4,780
Wallace is only on the bench because Barisic can’t play Europa qualifiers, next
DariuszAdamczuk 548
Wallace is brutal, has been for ages For all we fault Tav’s defensive abilities Wallace makes him look like Davie Weir defensively. Would give a youngster a chance before playing Wallace

Misteral 2,932
I wouldn't be too nervous if he played as a CB in a three one day to see what happens but can't see him being played much at LB or further forward. But you never know what players are showing in training and SG can spring the odd surprise.
STEPPS BOY 73,886
According to posters on this forum, our options for left wing are: Barasic Wallace Lafferty Shellsuit Bob Grado. ForeverAndEver
Oz 37
Wallace will be a fantastic player as cover from the bench. Natural cover for barosic with flannigan covering Tavs position. Sttong defencive squad when we add another cb. Looking good at the back. Bring on the Million Dollar Dembele !!!

I know some full backs move into that role when they no longer have the pace full back requires. He is over 6ft so perhaps could be trained for it,, Just a thought, would obviously still prefer another CB in before the window shuts. once mate I can remember, though rather didn't - at tannadice in the cup. lost a goal inside a minute. HairyBeary 1,040
If this season is to bring us 55 I hope that Lee Wallace has the opportunity to play a part in it . SwallowsHisOwnSpunk
tannerall 25,935
Said it before, Wallace could become a terrific centre back, or even better I can see him playing the defensive mid just in front of our two centre backs., and become a mainstay again. I still expect him to feature strongly again for us as time goes on. Good to have a player of his experience to rely on.
TopCat 4,511
With all due respect to the player I want rid of Wallace tbh........ he just isn't good enough for Rangers... in any position.
bordersbear 1,105
Said in a thread ages ago that I think Wallace had been carrying an injury for a long time. He looked like a crab when he was running. All lopsided . Could be the reason for his long absence after his groin op.

16BlueSherbert90 19,223
Question is, has he kept up with fitness since being off? He would only be good enough for last 10 minutes of a game and even then that's a wild expectation, surely.

frenv 2,125
Gives us a stronger bench, but if selling him helping bringing in another signing (CB or AMF), I'm all for it.
saintbob1969 1,459
We have seen improvements in all our players: why not expect to see a better Lee Wallace under Gerrards management.

Ffs second person on this thread to say Wallace would be good as a defensive midfielder. I just don’t see it and think cunts must be on monkey dust No chance will he play CDM for us unless we’re ravaged with injury’s and have no other option.
