Team News:

  • Rossiter, Coulibaly(possibly?) and Dorrans unavailable due to injury
  • Barisic unavailable due to being unregistered.

Misc:

Well the queens 11 kick on from a bitterly disappointing draw to motherwell to a bitterly cold part of the world in Russia where we take to the Neftyanik Stadium to face FC UFA in the 2nd leg. Winning this match well see us march proudly onto the Europa Group Stages with the draw being announced this Friday coming. The bears better have learned lessons at fir park and show no weakness nor invite any pressure and go for at least another 2 goals which will effectively kill off the tie and give us a lift for the next Scottish League game which will see us take to the bheasts in the east.

Let's go!

Is it confirmed Coulibaly is still injured? Desperately need him back in midfield

He is back in training although Gerrard said he would miss the next 3 games (This was before today's game am sure) So he could make an appearance at anypoint.

I think we will see this out, BUT if we dont its not going to be the end of the world. When we were winning titles for fun, Europe felt like the be all and end all of things. Right now, im not sure its going to help us.

Of course another couple of quality signings would help.

Get through this tie and some cash for players

But for me a second string has to play the group games, that nonsense today has showed you how important having your first 11 out in every league game is and I’d rather we won the league, stopped them getting near 10 in a row than doing anything in Europe

Back to our usual defensive set-up and we should see the tie out. If we do qualify it's emperative that the board use the projected monies from European competition to bolster the squad pronto. We have no depth in the squad and nowhere near enough to challenge in 4 competitions simultaneously.

We've just shown UFA how to play against us and get something.

Shambles today against a pish Motherwell side, we should have forced another goal instead of sitting back deep in our own half like pussys trying to defend a lead.

It was clear we were going to lose the goal, no one can withstand that kind of all out attacking pressure for so long and not concede.

nope

We were still attacking at the end, a good display despite the absence of goals. Scored from offside and had a few good moments to at least equalize even with a man down.

But never so long may it continue, well until after Thursday anyway  ?

Sounds weird saying it but this honestly feels like a season-defining week

I was flat after Ufa and gutted about today.

I think as others and SG says, we’ve been spoiled so far which was beyond most’s expectations.

We win things at this club, it’s in our DNA and that cherry is currently dangling in front of us as we all desperately want a bite at it.
