No Surrender Andy Halliday. Most folk would have chucked it but he has never given up his dream of playing in the colours...

You probably couldn't beat the smile off of hallidays face. I'm quite emotional tonight tbh, it really feels like we are back now.

Fucking brilliant. Iam buzzing. Fuck if this is what it's like qualifying for Europe what it's going to be like for 55.

Absolute fucking bedlam.

This is a huge night for us, seriously, I've seen it all, but this is a huge night in our recent history.

Sign of a good manager is improving players and Gerrard has certainly done that with Halliday .

Imagine going from a failed loan to the arse hole of nowhere, being rounded on by yer own and mocked by others to having Stevie fucking G running over to you at the end of a game and hugging you and singling you out for praise.

What a lift he's given the players who were here when he came, must be some thrill going into training and knowing you're being coached and managed by Stevie G. No bullshit talking in riddles or yapping on about pitch geography, a proper players player, Our team will run through walls for that man.

Halliday has got his confidence back and enjoying playing again, that's down to Gerrard's man management.

Halliday has his limitations, certainly, but he's a decent squad player who can do a few different roles when called on.

Aye. A good manager gets the best out of limited players - as long as Gerrard does that, Halliday is valuable to have in our squad. Pleased with how it's gone for Halliday because it must have been torture for the boy at times during his career here.

Exactly , and I don't think we should underestimate the part played by GMcA  .

Even at this early stage , we can see SG and his team having the same effect that players got when Souness first arrived at the Rangers  . The confidence factor he gave players , imo , we're just as important as signing Woods and Butcher in winning the league his first season , let's hope we are seeing the same this time with players like Haliday and Jack .
