The league will be our priority but it makes sense to keep Lafferty fresh for Thursday. Our players will be playing 2/3 games a week for till Christmas so anywhere we can rest them we should and at home against Dundee is a good place to rest players.

I don't know if it's purely resting as such. If Lafferty has a knock and Morelos is suspended for Thursday it would be naive to rush Lafferty in when needed for Thursday.

Of course the league is paramount but it's up to Gerrard to know who to play and when to play. We need to utilise our squad to the best of our ability, which admittedly can be tricky. IMO the 11 we have today should be more than enough.
