Jamie0202 12,272
If anybody has seen the full interview then don't mistake the clip below for Gerrard putting the sole blame on the players as he fully accepted the blame in the full interview but fuck me, I've never heard this from a manager. 20181028_185245.mp4 Bad Robot
Popular Post steven33jackie 1,920
He definitely fired a warning shot to them regarding quality. But if you are standing there watching from the sidelines and your not happy then change it. We had a half decent bench today but he didn't seem to want to use them and it's not the first time. Zappa6995 3,645
Well you better go and find better quality because most of that team dont have it. BlueAvenger
Popular Post Ger_onimo 20,488
I really don’t agree. What was missing was a striker and substitutions to replace obviously tired players. The panic subs after they scored were the worst thing for me. Not only were they far too late, but he took off completely the wrong players. And we needed to score before they scored: why suddenly make the changes then? He’s way off the mark here. tannerall, bazza010, ger4life_1872 and 2 others
King Jela 20,361
Fair enough but tactics and subs have to be at the highest quality as well otherwise we have to find better quality as well. DariuszAdamczuk 548
He seemed happy enough with them until 80 minutes ??♀️ Was 2m Grezda not good enough quality to warrant a 15-20 minute cameo against a team of nobodies Zappa6995 and its_an_extender

This is it. He spent a lot of money on Grezda and didn’t use him. No good going on about signing better players when he won’t use the ones he’s just signed. jjbscotty12 3,560
He punted a player away on loan that wouldve been ideal today at driving forward from the midfield in docherty our midfield is severely lacking that way . ritchieshearercaldow 22,137
He doesn’t hide but why can’t he get the players to step up ? Just not good enough to step up and he brought some of them in.
Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
Deja vu, same problems as this time last year - there needs to be a serious effort in January to get some creative midfielder and a proven striker as Morelos may be subject to a bid. Whole squad need to take heed. The ones on the bench weren't good enough to start. Agree though in a lot of games subs need to come earlier. Not in the same predictable way the 60 minute sub Warburton used to favour but in a a game by game basis we're definitely far too late making changes. Ger_onimo 20,488
In fact, he’s literally just signed 11 of the 18. If he thinks he can just keep signing players and discarding the shit ones after a couple of months then he’s in the wrong job. He can fuck right off with that shit. crazy bob swollenbaws

Ibroxric72 199
. He’s right, the players were shite today. Far too sloppy with crosses, no REAL pressure on their defence.Glad he’s angry but the time for talking is now over Stevie.
Bristol loyal 6,248
He’s right about quality, but when he can see it’s not working he needs to make changes and adapt to the game. I’m also seeing the same problems week in week out, what are we doing in training? Why are we not working on our lack of movement around the box? Why are our wingers and wingbacks not working on their crosses? Dont get me wrong I’m delighted he’s showing the players that poor performances won’t be tolerated here but there’s plenty for him to work on aswell. We know he’s new to management and if we’re going to appoint a rookie manager then we have to give him time to learn, but fuck me it’s about time he starts showing he’s learning from his mistakes. KBOO72 4,372
8 of the starting 11 were his signings, and 1 of the subs, both if you count promoting Middleton from the youths. The blame lies at the managers feet and he better get this shit sorted out. First job should be taking that armband off Tav. OnwardsandUpwards 834
He really needs to step up. Cost us points by stupid mistakes like subs during set pieces and poor decision making. How can you state players need to step up but leave them all on the pitch for so long? How can you witness again and again how poor we have been in the last 3rd but not work on this problem. How can you witness Tav hit shite comers again and again but not instruct someone else to take responsibility. Yes the players need to step up ,but by God Gerrard has to do so as well and pretty damn quick.
