Could it not be the case that Hummel then disguise this shirt sales payment as some kind of sponsorhip payment for the training centre or something similar? A lump sum up front based on a realistic estimate of shirt sales, then maybe a top up payment later on if we exceed the original target? If we don't meet the target the they just deduct from the following seasons payment.

Seems doable, but obviously a bit ropey from a contractual point of view.

They obviously can't tell us to go ahead and buy shirts and that the club will benefit from this, but I'm fairly sure if we weren't benefitting then we would have been told by now, even through an unofficial channel.

It's a fair assumption, but that's all it is, assumption. Its poor we glean that as unofficial channels, some of whom benefited previously and are on the payroll now, haven't told us otherwise. It's ridiculous state of affairs, none moreso than the fact we still can't as a club actively promote strip sales.

It seems in recent years it certainly did matter, not so much now it seems. For me it really does, it should be a huge part of our financial strategy. 

I think it's going to be a huge factor in player recruitment/ purchases. Could be the difference in really taking on the scum. It just seems no one knows, no one cares, and loads of folk still haven't bought and that money is gone.
