Now they are relying on us to get the country back up there in the rankings. Should Scotland miss out on a Europa League ranking it is going to be even harder persuading players to come here. By all accounts it looks as though more teams will play European football perhaps giving Scottish teams a better chance to qualify. If it’s similar money to the europa league but each nation plays teams of similar ranking then there may even be a chance of winning it. Clearly it’s set up to keep the big guns paying the big guns but it also appears to be orchestrated so more teams across Europe can participate.
