Surely the likes of Ajax, PSV, Porto, Anderlecht etc will be in the same boat though.   Will be an interesting decade to see how it works out tbh.

Probably not because their leagues will be in the top 10. Plus the team that wins the league seems, according to the info I posted above, to be guaranteed to make some kind of group stage, which is absysmal for Scottish football.

Basically the team that won the league will continue to get richer and the rest will have to go through qualifying rounds to get to the group stage of this new competition..

Awful for the Scottish game.

This is when FIFA need to show their hand and see league's with less money are being discriminated against .

Surely in this day and age when so many are offended by so much from fuckin rainbow laces to covering their mouths so lip readers don't see swear words ffs then surely our idiots at the top may well have a case.

Scottish football fucked itself the day they demoted us. Now they are relying on us to get the country back up there in the rankings.

Should Scotland miss out on a Europa League ranking it is going to be even harder persuading players to come here.

Liewell's long game .. bin us to the 3rd division, guarantee his scum team a few years CL money, then with this set up he helped instigate on the horizon - the timing almost ensuring the scum bastards retain CL money while we look for crumbs with this new 3rd tier competition

Can’t complain until we see the revenue that will be generated. By all accounts it looks as though more teams will play European football perhaps giving Scottish teams a better chance to qualify.

If it’s similar money to the europa league but each nation plays teams of similar ranking then there may even be a chance of winning it.

Clearly it’s set up to keep the big guns paying the big guns but it also appears to be orchestrated so more teams across Europe can participate.
