TMB 14,167
The manager is using a 4-3-3 counter pressing system he's learned from Jurgen Klopp (one of the top mangers in the world) and it's working for us. I have no complaints with regards to that tactics and formation. However, a little bit more of a cutting edge would be great. I love the work rate and tenacity of Kent and Candeias but they lack the regular goals this system needs.

Popular Post josmc 525
I watched the game today with my son. When we went a goal down I was confident that we would come back and win the game. When we went to ten men I had a good idea would hold on and win the match. If this had of been last season or the one before, I’d have fucked something at the tv and kicked the dog up the arse. I don’t think we give enough credit to Gerrard and his staff for how far they have taken us in a few short months. Obviously we are nowhere near the finished article. But I’ll tell you what, this is a team full of character and at last we have players with balls who stand up to a physical challenge and give as good as they get. Guys like Josh Windass would not be tolerated by this management team. In my opinion, we are very lucky to have Stevie Gerrard and I can only see good things ahead. Just let’s not start shitting ourselves every time we have a bit of a setback. BridgeIsBlue, Negri's lovechild, roboscot and 3 others

Popular Post RangersMedia 35,962
I still don't expect to win anything this season, however we are not far away from the point where we have a right to expect some success again - that's being realistic, and not super fan 'expect to win everything'. This season was always going to be a big ask, given whats went on before. He has done very well with 1x transfer window. Of course, we do need a little bit more cutting edge and depth in quality - however proven cutting edge needs money (or development time). For the first time since Smith left, I'm convinced we are on the right trajectory. cstamomusa, BridgeIsBlue, Blue Rino and 2 others
pcbear 10,932
We were getting used to failure and taking it as the norm due to lack of quality and amateurism on and off the park, now we see what can be done with people who actually know what they are doing, it also never cost monster money to get us back on track either. I am delighted with the progress so far. eejay the dj and Amokachi
gmcf 35,374
Still early days , but I thought yesterday was the best yet , which bodes well for a big month ahead . The thing is , the tarriers have always stepped it up when they play us . It will be interesting to see how they do with a bit of pressure on them , something they've never really faced before . pollok-bear and Bobby Hume
BILLYBOY50 1,638
As we all know we are still a few players short of a realy good team and it is early days in the managers tenure but the signs are good. I hope we can at least win the Scottish cup and push the scum for the title. God help us if the wean shaggers win another treble. I don't think they will though. Popular Post RM Monitor And Standards Officer 112,735
We have lost four games since he's been here. We've lost the four of them by a goal. We were shite at the theatre of screams and at livi. Against spartak and Aberdeen in the semi a combination of poor finishing and defending cost us. When we've been beaten we have still been in the games. It looks like the days of us being absolutely scudded are gone. This team have some character about them. 7 times we've been down to 10. We haven't yet lost when down to 10. That tells you everything you need to know. We aren't always great But other than livi away (I'll forgive the fenians game after we had come back from.russia playing with 10 for 60 mins then 9 for a further 30. But the signs are there still might be a season too soon for us but it's nearly there Negri's lovechild, Bobby Hume, ForeverAndEver and 14 others

Nor has anyone except the filth yesterday. The only tournament concluded and a brand new Rangers team virtually assembled from scratch in June got to the last four and deserved to make the final. But if you consider each step of the season as a goal in itself, we are ahead of schedule. Credible run in the cup...check Get through EL qualifiers...check Climb up league table...check To be perfectly honest, SG and Gary Mac could hardly have done a better job to this stage. In my opinion, the only failings so far are the use of substitutes (which is improving and was very effective yesterday) and the signing of Sadiq. Considering the turnover of players, to bring in so many with only one real failure is remarkable. He has also worked wonders with players already here, especially Halliday (who was terrific against Hearts) and Morelos whose value has doubled at least since SG took over. Easy to say “we’ve won nothing yet” but I think they have done all we could have hoped for and more. jintybear, gmcf, Blue Rino and 3 others

SeparateEntityMyArse 55,312
Cracking for what's been achieved in one transfer window and with modest outlay. Mistakes have been made, but not too many. Disciplinary issues will cost us and SG needs to deny fault and fight each and every one as we're facing some amount of suspensions going forward. SG gets us, his handling of the press is great, he clearly man manages his players well and is respected at the club. Really strong platform to build from in the next 2 transfer windows. Wouldn't want any other manager as our gaffer. jamess, gmcf and Bobby Hume
