How much money do we make for progressing from the group, compared to if we get pumped out?

Not sure about prize money but would imagine that even just tv and gate receipts for 1 more round would be at least 1.5 mil.

Draw an English team or someone like Milan you'll be chucking a fair bit on top of that.

If we get pumped out we get e190k for a draw. Nothing more if we lose.

If we win and go through as group winners we'll earn just over e1.5m, or just over e1m as group runners up. We would also get e500k for getting to R32

Starting fees (€140m)
Each of the 48 clubs that qualify for the group stage can expect to receive a group stage allocation of €2.92m.

Fixed amounts (€168m)
Group stage performance bonuses will be paid for each match: €570,000 per win and €190,000 per draw. Undistributed amounts (€190,000 per draw) will be pooled and redistributed among the clubs playing in the group stage in amounts proportionate to their number of wins.

The group winners can expect to receive a qualification bonus of €1m each and the runners-up €500,000 each.

The clubs that qualify for the knockout stage can expect to pick up the following amounts:
• qualification for the round of 32; €500,000 each
• qualification for the round of 16: €1.1m each
• qualification for the quarter-finals: €1.5m each
• qualification for the semi-finals: €2.4m each
• qualification for the final: €4.5m each
• The UEFA Europa League winners can expect to collect an additional €4m.

The two clubs that qualify for the 2018 UEFA Super Cup can each expect to receive €3.5m, with the winners receiving an additional €1m.

A win v Vienna makes a big difference to us financially and even more so in terms of prestige, IMO.

I believe a win in Vienna would be a huge boost for many players who seem to have lost energy and confidence and would be the tonic required to kickstart us in the league. Not to mention the injection in finances for the club. Huge game !

Reckon the team will be:

McGregor

Tav, Goldson, Worrall, Flanagan,

Jack, Arfield, Coulibaly

Grezda, Morelos, Kent

Flanagan did a job on their best player in the first game so I'd expect Gerrard will start him, despite the fact he's been pretty rotten since then. Win here and hopefully we might reignite our season.

Whats quoted is prize money - not gate receipts/hospitality etc. We bring in circa £1M a home game and have had 7 home games in this euro run. All told this euro run will be circa £15M income we didnt get last season.

For as much as this week has been in meltdown mode, we have a realistic chance tomorrow to TOP our Europa League group. Even qualifying in 2nd place is magnificent. Say what you want about a disappointing stumble in the league, that would be an outstanding achievement. Can't wait for tomorrow. No matter what happens our European campaign has been exceptional this year
