There's no disrespect for Tav intended. I  him as a player but I don't think he has the experience needed in the Scottish game to re-organise the team on the pitch when things start to unravel.  This is why I feel Tav needs to take his share of the blame for the consistency problems and imo most of them lie on his shoulders now, as Gerrard and his back room team have done their job. 

For me the captains job should have had as much thought as when choosing Gerrard himself.  Being a captain for Rangers requires more than the normal remit  We are trying to take our spot back as Number 1. The captain needs to play his part by quickly organising the team on the pitch, when dealing with thug teams who dish out every dirty trick in the book and refs who victimise our players by carding them to another teams advantage.
