Popular Post Burts91 427
There has been a fair few games where Gerrard can take the blame but he is in no way responsible for tonight. The amount of chances we have had to kill teams off this season have been criminal. Honestly hope we keep Gerrard for the next 3 years. He is a born winner, you can’t change everything in one season. He has given us a Europa league group stage run, he has given us a victory over celtic. He is going to make mistakes in the same way that all managers do but he will honestly get it right given enough time. He has helped turn Morelos into a 15-20m pound player. It’s frustrating as fuck. But Gerrard needs the full backing from everyone and the board. Certain he will bring us a title in the next two and a bit years. Professor_Chang 1,049
He wasn’t going to fix it in one season. With the inevitable Morelos money. It must be reinvested in the squad. Del and The No.9
Jelavic191 4,295
There’s no manager that could come in here and turn us around in one season. The football we’ve played has been better this season but we need to find that ruthless streak. The No.9 and MurrayWilson

Malvern 11,329
How long did Alex Ferguson have at Man Utd before that last cup match which was his last if he lost?
Essandoh 21,102
That’s why it’s so mind blowing how we’re so far behind in the league. I just can’t understand how we’ve self-destructed.
Moody Blue 9,282
I still back him but he's limited in being able to change personnel when players in the final third are not delivering. Bar tonights goal, Candeias is hard working but rarely has a goal threat, Kent is becoming a bit of a sandancer for me with not a great deal of end product and Arfield doesn't contribute anywhere near enough the way Rogic or that fucking teuchter, buck toothed prick or Sinclair or nae neck, etc. has for them. Their defence has been shite this season too yet we concede far more than them, something needs addressed. Spliffy and HG5
Popular Post MasterD 7,430
We were falling out the game and they were growing into it. Gerrard made no attempt to change anything or make a sub in time to avoid what was inevitable. Plenty of other things to look at and blame ahead of Gerrard but I don’t agree he takes no responsibility for it. sandyinroyalblue 16,478
If you look at the Dundee and Hamilton games Gerrard was unhappy at our second half performances in both despite winning both games easily but the players just don't seem to get the message. gmcf 33,928
Agreed . On our day we're a match for anyone . If he can just find that bit of consistency we won't be far away from where we want to be . Cedrick
Bristol loyal 6,248
I think he’ll be a successful manager and I’m glad he’s here, he clearly needs another transfer window or two but he’s on the right track. However while a lot of things were not his fault tonight (missed chances, shite ref etc) the fact he didn’t make a change when before their goal we had players looking exhausted was a big factor in us dropping points tonight and it’s not the first time, he’s still learning but he really needs to start actually improving because a couple of pairs of fresh legs before the equaliser and I really think we would have at least seen the game out of not scored another. Not really sure if you are serious there, if so that's a ridiculous comparison - different times and situation. Ferguson had won titles and ECWC against Bayern and Real before Man Utd - Gerrard is still doing his coaching licences FFS. Anyway, I'm out of this self hate fest - bring on Tuesday asap. Sat and watched Hibs change their shape and start to grow into the match and only reacted when they scored. He's got to shoulder some of the blame. Seems the goal posts are being moved to accommodate Gerrard... season's not over yet. we will finish within 10 points and I think we'll win the cup. Popular Post SeparateEntityMyArse 53,242
He's not to blame. But they tweaked their system at half time, we looked leggy and lost control of midfield, and they started creating chances. Before their goal a blind man could see we needed energy from Mccrorie put into the midfield. Gerrard shouldn't be above criticism. And imo gets it for not seeing that before it was too late, yet again. Truth_is_out_there, theclothmonster, Spliffy and 2 others

wearethepeople1 3,897
Questions need to be asked of SG we have squandered far far too many daft points this season I like him and I think he will become a good manager but as a rookie, that is not what we need at the moment unless he gets some serious backing in the summer he will be gone by Xmas imo HG5
