Morelos 4 match ban

So Morelos scoring against every team he has played against, except one, proves your point how?

He can only score against who he is playing against, and he does that the vast majority of the time.

That's true, but regardless  interested parties will look at the quality of the teams he's played against and that will impact their offer.

We can tell ourselves that Aberdeen, Hearts, Killie etc are quality opponents, and maybe they are on a good day,  but compared to other leagues the quality of opponent just isn't there. He can score as often as he likes against Auchenshuggle Wednesday, but it isn't going to impress that many people is it?

He can be a good player,  but I don't think the case has been made to call him a great player. And the red cards don't help either.

Is his potential transfer value reduced by yet another red card?  Possibly but its one of these things no one will ever know for certain.   One thing is certain though and that yet another red card is not going to generate more transfer value for Rangers.

Does yet another red card reduce the number of teams that might be prepared to bid for him?   Again impossible to know.  But it sure as fuck can't be doing much to attract other teams into making a bid for him.

Will he play for Rangers again this season (assuming he remains fit)?   Only Gerrard will know the answer to that one.   I'd assume he will play some part in the final home game at least.   As a farewell gesture.  He's busted Gerrard's faith in him.  As Gerrard admitted in an interview (paraphrasing Gerrard's post-match TV interview) …….. he (Morelos) was already above the line of tolerance and Gerrard continued to tolerate.   Morelos has let him down.    Things have to change.                    That seems to me to imply that that Gerrard is forced into looking at different striking options for the rest of the season and Morelos might not be an auto pick when his latest ban ends.

Will he be a Rangers player next season?   IMO only if no satisfactory bid is received for him.

How Brown continually gets away with this is incredible and one of the reasons is we (Rangers) never come out and tell it like it is, fuck this dignified silence it does not work IMO. :headwall:

If a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound? We actually do make statements but they go unheard or we get fined.

that should be his last game for gers  3 more games after his ban just leave him out and move him on for as much as possible

Agreed mate - enough's enough.

And it is probably common knowledge too, that our players are cheesed off with him, given that they all played better when he fucked off.

Or at least until we play Lafferty or Defoe and draw or lose and he's sitting on the bench and all the fans change their mind again and demand Stevie's head for not playing him.

No one can ever argue the fact Morelos is a lethal finisher and good player but missing 4 games when we need to qualify for Europe will never be accepted. Gerrard is partially to blame for this as well for letting it continue.

Gerrard can't put a gun to his head. If you think Gerrard hasn't had words you'd be a mile off. The guy is now totally frustrated with him. He isn't a kid. He knows what is right and wrong. It's called taking responsibility for your own actions.

Mo makes his choices on the field of play. What he does is instinctive. However, if he was a cowardly cheating bastard like broon, he could have went down like a sacks of spuds every time, writhing in faux agony instead of hitting out and got every instigator sent off. Well apart from untouchable broon.

The club or someone needs to cite broon to the compliance officer  to force the issue, rolling over and taking it isn't helping.

There is no point with the compliance officer, can't look at a yellow card incidents.

Club should speak out however.

broon never got a card.

And if he did it would have been a yellow. His 2nd and a sending off.

I've been told on here and by a mate, the compliance officer can only review straight red incidents. Another yellow won't be looked at.

Whoever told you is talking nonsense.

The Compliance Officer can only raise a Fast Track Notice of Complaint and take retrospective action when an on field incident, or an exceptional part of an on field incident, has been unseen by the match officials

Well let's see if it gets reported.

I'm not holding my breath him getting any kind of punishment
