Memorial wall/garden

Why would it be inappropriate to have a memorial garden?

No idea, don't understand any of it!

How could something like that be classed as 'commercial' for it to be a disaster?

From what I remember of the pics/plans issued it all seemed ok to me.

So have the plans been shelved? Or we going another contractor? If it’s the former, I don’t recall the club coming out and confirming it? Thought this was a great idea when first mooted

I don't know if it was opinion or gospel but I'm.sure I read at the time on here people were worried about the fenians damaging it as it was around the time the cunts kept spraying stuff about the disaster at and around the stadium.

My immediate gut says the same, and also given that last part:

“This was rejected by Memorial Walls who have instead appointed solicitors to pursue the Club. Such tactics make it clear Rangers’ decision not to proceed with this outfit on such a delicate project was correct.”

Perhaps we didn’t want to work with this particular supplier.

Sound like an absolute shower though pursuing us for monies in court. This court case will probably get more coverage than the mhanks abuse scandal.

Maybe this mob wanted too have advertisers or something as part of the walls

Then tell us that, instead of the usual bullshit we get from the club.

A simple we don’t believe Memorial Walls are up to the job and have shelved plans at this time.

Yeah it would be easier to just be told why it would have been unacceptable

Maybe it was a poor design that we wouldn't have liked and not the concept.

The plans were passed on a specific design.

Reading between the lines it sounds like the costs are spiralling out of control. Which they could simply tell us instead of the bullshit.

We’ll be limited in what we can say given that it is now the subject of legal proceedings.

Which key stakeholders, what consultation, why was it deemed inappropriate and what made them think we'd reject it?

Why would any memorial be deemed a commercial venture let alone potential disaster?

Many more questions than answers coming from that statement.

Something doesn't sound right here..... is it possible that the decision has been taken on economic grounds ? i.e. The space set aside for the memorial garden would draw more revenue  ( in real estate terms) if something else was built there - a car park,  or leased to burger vans, or for  some other revenue drawing purpose, or even sold. Once  it becomes a memorial garden - it is a memorial garden for life.

Also,  as fan, I don't remember being asked for my opinion... 🙁
