He wasnt pointed anywhere, his legal representatives contacted the club for compensation. Rangers stated the matter was reported to police and authorities. Theres a significant difference in how matters were dealt with and for you to liken us to them is disgraceful.

You say apparently abused so, legally, would that not be the correct course of action since nothing had been confirmed at that point in time. Also, as I think you have alluded to in previous posts, take the allegations to the police for investigation.

Rangers said they were unaware of specific allegations but will “co-operate fully” with Police Scotland.

According to the reports at the time it was his legal professional who advised him to raise a claim against Rangers.

An email sent to the solicitors of David - not his real name - explained: "You will understand that there have been many changes affecting Rangers over the last several years.

"The company which owned Rangers Football Club.... which you refer to as owing duties of care to your client will have been the company then called The Rangers Football Club PLC and now called RFC 2012 Limited.

"That company is currently in liquidation but we do have the liquidators' contact details and can provide that information if it will assist."

It's a legal distinction being made in reference to a business in an entirely legal context.

They referred an abuse claim to the liquidators rather than it be dealt with by the club's own legal team as the current legal incarnation of Rangers aren't responsible
