Never saw that, only watched the middle part of the match.that for most players could easily be a red for 2 yellow card offences. But imo should have had a penalty for a clear push on Jones. Going to have to disagree with the "impartial" BT ref who wasnt convinced. Special note for celtic Ambassador Tom Boyd for his comments on Beaton at their game versus Dunfermline.. "We’ve not played well today but a decision once again from a referee may cost us in this game. Hopefully we will go on and beat, not the ten men or the eleven men of Dunfermline, but the twelve men with that decision from John Beaton. He’ll probably be welcome down his pub tonight again. Boyd could only be described as a plodder at full back, attracting no serious interest from any big clubs yet amassed an incredible 72 caps for Scotland.. 50 more than David Cooper. I just reckon their default position kicks in which is to ignore things until they're publicly criticised, then to deflect / deny/ challenge every single challenge/ criticism / disciplinary etc. Not an inch given which whilst in some ways is commendable, from them smacks of fenian victimhood. Now he almost never discusses anything about tarrier games. But he highlighted as the ref was Beaton. The same ref who needed police protection at home and in the way to games last season. If the Compliance officer doesn't protect the referee here then we have potentially a massive problem on the horizon. Last season the referee committee had a few meetings with the SFA regarding media attacks. Private in house or public media makes no difference. In 2 league games theres been nothing really, and only a shove on Jones in the cup game worth mentioning. Tbh I'd be happy if there was nothing to update other than no decisions for / against each week as it would show no bias and refs, linesmen and compliance officer doing their job well.
