Rangers took fan safety very seriously after the 66 died - unfortunately football and society didn't and it did take the 96 to die before that happened! 

I mock whateboutery because it is used as an excuse, oh Johnny farted in class, and his excuse on getting caught is ' ... but Joey did it as well'! If our fans act as arseholes, some on here excuse that because other teams fans have also acted as arseholes!

Scotland and Rangers fans took it very serious my father was on that stairway although never lost his life  (he did lose his socks and shoes) he vowed never to go back to a football game, my old Nana told him he wasn’t  going back aswell! he never did until he took me and my brother in 1984 when there were no safety issues.

The way I see it.

The roof wouldn’t have collapsed if health and safety had done their job properly and made sure in the event of this happening it was a robust construction 

The crush wouldn’t have happened if there had been proper crowd management.

People do stupid things when emotions get the best of them.

It’s the job of those in places of authority to ask questions, like ...what if.

You may not like “whataboutery” but it’s an natural reaction when folk get accused and see an injustice.

If there had been a surge from behind and those Bears standing behind that shelter only had one place to go to get to safety and that was straight over the shelter which then collapsed maybe killing a fan. 

Would you be calling them embarrassing for trying to get to safety or what should be happening and that’s calling for action against Kilmarnock for not following warnings from the council that the shelter isn’t fit for purpose.

1. So the folk that were there said, according to club1872, that it was opened as fans were being crushed. You prefer someone who wasnt there stating it was Rangers fans due to impatience.

Nice to see the post hijacked by a "aye but the 2 fannies on the roof" "aye but pitch invasions" cunt that then quite ironically talks about whataboutery whilst doing exactly that.

Let's clarify first and foremost the guys SHOULDNT have been on the roof..fine got that out the way.

This article says Rangers fans who has serious safety fears were being impatient and that this was the reason for issues outside of the stadium, go look at witness accounts then come back and say there were no safety issues.

East Ayrshire Council have came out and said that they have urgent safety issues at Rugby Park which need addressed, meanwhile an FOI request has shown that there had been safety issues with the roof and guttering of the structure since LAST YEAR! Killie have had a safety certificate to hold matches despite that.

Fan safety is meant to be paramount but here yet again we've seen it put to the side and THAT is the main concern. I'll say again the boys shouldn't have gone on the roof and I cringe at the pitch invasions.

Imagine in a worst case there had been a fire at the back of that stand and fans surged forward and on to that structure and it collapsed...it's structure is not secure as we've seen, it has potentially disastrous consequences and roofs as per H&S guidelines should be able to have someone stand on it without it collapsing...again this does not condone the fans going on to it.

Yet again seeing Anyone Everyone used as a stick to beat our fans with, including by our own fans. Oh no someone gets abuse on forums...grow the fuck up! I've NEVER seen supporters of our club made to feel unwelcome in Ibrox...not once.

Rangers fans are attacked by media on an almost match by match basis and this is no different.
