The reserves and the young teams would pump them. 😉

That, along with attracting a new audience and, new sponsors, mitigates any losses. Of course there is a way to go but, in a short space of time, significant progress has been made. That's because women generally have shorter legs
Bluepeter9 5,167
There is more to having top level Women's football teams than worrying about the size of crowds, commercial aspects and comparative standards of play. Participation at all levels is one of the main reasons for having a structure at the top levels - if there is no pathway to the top, no role models then there is less participation. Many mock the Women's game but in terms of participation its a huge factor and Rangers are right to play there part, in the same way the club  have a role to play in the overall development of men's football at the grass roots, and football at all the developmental levels. Also if Women's Football don't create a competitive structures then they will never improve and I am glad the club are doing their bit to promote this and its a fairly small minded person that would deny them the glory and honour of playing for Rangers. tannerall, RangersMedia, Cumbria_blue and 1 other

Is it to show how PC Rangers is? Is it to show how we're not 'small minded'? and just when will any woman be playing for 'Rangers'? They'd be playing for Rangers womens team, like Ressies play for Rangers Reserves,or Rangers Colts etc. This must be differenciated. As has been stated often, most aren't against women playing the game but it should be self-sustaining IF they're to be FT professional. It's obvious or should be,even to you, that the Club has development teams in the hope of producing future senior players or players for transfer
Rambo1872 4,065
Womens football is mediocre. BUT society rewards mediocrity so it will probably fly for a while and be propped up by donors and organisations and commercial enterprises looking to exploit it for financial gain. Do you think the club has no social responsibility at all?  Should the club not be a focus for a footballing initiative? Some may not like it but ladies football as a spectator sport and as participation sport is on the rise and I am proud that my club are part of that . It’s also good marketing as it opens up our club and says to women you are welcome here. To object to us running a top class ladies team and a women’s development path seems to me both short sighted and small  minded. lau03143

Heck, Scottish football in general isn't self-sustaining. Women's football is a growth area, young girls are running about wearing Rangers gear, women going to games is increasing and actively supporting Rangers. Women's football will have benefits for the first team, and the club should actively promote all areas of the sport. RockwellGers and Bluepeter9

siddiqi_drinker 14,635
Understand Alan MacGregor has come out as transgender and now wants to play for the women's Rangers team. Score for fun in that dressing room.
Rambo1872 4,065
Any ones worth wanking over? But on a serious note and being a fan of capitalism, i am not too bothered of jumping on the womens football thing and exploiting the cunt clean out of it for financial gain. More money for the mens side hopefully.
