****The Official Livingston v Rangers Match Thread****

Job done.   But at what cost for injuries I wonder.

Helander will have had his eyes opened a bit to Scottish football and the pressures at Rangers after that game.     Wonder if he is one of these 'lucky' central defenders - the type that don't seem to play well and make plenty of mistakes but they somehow get away with it because the defence gets another clean sheet when you'd think during the game they will make the sort of mistake that cost us points and games last season.

It some shitey teams and football pitches we have in Scotland.    Getrard trying t build a Rangers team that can compete with very good sides in Europe at a technical, skill and pace etc level and then have the same squad do the equivalent of digging fucking trenches and dynamite openings against hammer thrower teams in shitty conditions at some of our Scottish grounds.

Win ugly isn't always a bad thing. Move on. I hate livi  st Johnston, kilmarnock..they make it so frustrating with them backward tactics these teams deploy.

Livingston certainly didn't play backwards tactics. They're one of the few teams that actually had a go.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid would be shite on that pitch tbh.

Loads of people on here will look at the performances of certain players and use it against them.

We're through and that's the important part.

Is that the 3rd time we've played on that? Honestly struggling to think if any of our players have excelled on that pitch. Borna was fine, so was McGregor, Alfie too but no one was great.

Of course we should be doing better than that but we just had to get through. Since we lost there, we've won the next two. That's all that matters.

We've won a fair few this season without playing great. A fantastic trait to have.

The sheep having a few big injuries tonight and now going to extra time may be useful for the weekend

Like playing in a carpark

It's impossible to play football on a pitch like that.

Add in the fact the opposition are throwing elbows and flying into challenges to break up our play and a ref who allows it to happen - it was always going to be a scrappy, horrible game.

These pitches and tactics are a total embarrassment to the Scottish game.

McCoist saying Devlin best player on the park tonight. Let’s see how he can performs in the semi eh?

All good judgement McCoist had departed from him when he stopped playing football.    Fantastic on the pitch but that's where the accolades stop.
