Winning

That's what it's all about. Nothing else.

The match day threads are great but hard going sometimes with the criticism. Probably guilty of it myself 😊. We play some great football at times but if it comes down to silky soccer and not winning vs a turgid 90 mins where we win, I'll take the drab hard fought game any time. A deflected goal and a poor performance tonight, but when do we ever play good on these surfaces. Very very rarely. But we won.

We're in the semi. Won't have to play another cup game on the rubber surface they call astro in his country. We're looking good.

All true.

But it's also fair to say we could / should have been down to 10 men, were bullied and gave chances right through the middle of our defence, and can consider ourselves fortunate to be through. On another night, we wouldnt have been.

So aye. But naw.

Fuck it we won. If the ref had done his job they would've been down to 10 well before the incident you are talking about and that would therefore never have been an issue.

Ifs and buts don't matter. Just win and enjoy it

Have said a few times already this season, "thats a game we would have lost last year".

Hopefully a good sign and not papering over deficiencies.

It's a game we should have  been winning last season, as we should be doing easily this season. Terrible performance, but take the result and move on.

Hibs games perfect examples. Arguably our best performances last year. 2 points from 6 🤢

Nah we are slightly papering over cracks mate. Champions 100% need to play better than we have been, but as we’ve both said jobs done so far.

I am enjoying winning. Aye I'll take it however we do it over dropping points or getting put out a cup. But if you or anyone else wants to just gloss over that shite and say enjoy it as we won, ignore performances and obvious failings, then that's up to you.  I'm not as easily pleased.

Aye, but on today's performance - how many wins would be getting in the course of a season over the  Bloody Idiots.

It's really not great on the nerves however we've somehow won a fair number of games this season already without playing great. Hopefully we can kick on though.

Even with the shite and disappointment we've been through I am not glossing over anything. I know where we are not performing and I'm sure Gerrard knows it too. But there's huge pressure on us winning the league. A cup before Christmas would boost confidence no end. As I said, I don't care how we do it, just keep winning.

Is great until you come up against a half decent team and they give you a lesson.

We have to find a consistency of play that is far better.

I totally agree 3 points or a win in tonight's case is all that matters. I just don't think we can sustain defending so poorly and continuing winning games. We're giving teams like Livingston and St. Johnstone two or three chances against us.

I'm not asking for perfection but something a little bit more convincing on a more regular basis because the early going suggests that ourselves and celtic aren't going to drop many points this season.

A Massive result, but our weaknesses are obvious and repeatedly now from the same offenders.

There were four players out there who have been shit since the start of the season. We all know who they are. We have been riding our luck. How long can that last is the question? Or ask another. Do we look like a title winning team? Are all the players showing that winning mentality?

It takes a strong manager to bench his favourites! I'll leave it at that.

We were shit and I didn't enjoy that game; however, I'll take 1-0 wins like that all season long.

It'll reduce my lifespan by about 10 years but it's a price I'm willing to pay.

:UK:

A few of us will probably be dead by the end of the season then. As long as we see that league flag hoisted  :UK:
