Hopefully staff and players at the club have also made some sort of donation direct to Fernando’s wife and daughter. As far as I understand they’ve exhausted his pension and his ex-wife has been in control of a lot more of his money.

Vile that they’re having to worry about money.

I would’ve thought that’s where the ex players benevolent fund comes in.

Seem to remember a few years ago about a court case being taken over this. His ex came across as a real money grabber. If his new wife and child have been left broke then obviously the case didn't go well for Fernando?

Quite the contrary the case went very well for Fernando but now his family is still owed the £370,000 that was ordered to be paid by the heartless bitch who refuses even after losing her appeal.

This is exceptional circumstances until this mess over finances are fixed I'd like to see the club financially support his wife and young daughter.

Maybe a small weekly payment to them

You are usually a bit mental but that's a great idea

His ex refused to comply with the court order claiming that she was keeping it in case she was liable for any EBT clawback to HMRC! Wonder what her excuse will be now that is no longer valid?
