Time Gerrard started to fucking realise that favourites don't win you trophies. They tend to let you down when the going gets tough.

The Tavernier / Goldson / Helander trio just doesn't work for me, there's no communication or leadership there. But we've been giving away chances like tonight week in week out in the league so was only a matter of time before a better team made us pay. 

Golden opportunity missed tonight to put ourselves in the driving seat in this group and we've fucked it. 

Ojo is also becoming a real problem for me now as well, his lack of effort and desire at times is a disgrace.

We fucked it up.   Every player and the management team too.   All fell miles short.    No-one, absolutely no-one was at anywhere near their best.    And when that happens you get gubbed, which is exactly what happened.

Disgusting end to a game we had the potential to win, to think we could be sitting top of the group

Tav - makes too many mistakes and its getting more evident in the big games that are costing us

Goldson - maybe a bit harsh but how many headed chances did he have? Surely Katic would have taken at least one of them?

Missed Jack big time when he went off. Stewart came on and proceeded to hold onto the ball until he got tackled 3 times. 

Ojo might score a screamer from time to time but games like this he's completely anonymous. Shat every challenge, passing was horrendous and hardly looked interested. 

I thought they were going to be better than they were so it's really disappointing. Not to mention that goal cost us money and coefficient. 

Better see a reaction at the weekend.

10 seconds away from topping the table. Tavs and Ojo were shockingly poor. You can't expect to turn up with only 9 men up for it away from home in Europe and win.

Really must do better than that. Sorely dissapointed that we threw that fantastic opportunity away. So frustrating!

I don’t know about meltdown, but bringing Stewart on for Jack (ok, not a straight swap) was a strange one. 
 

All we had to do was keep the ball down for the last few minutes, but we go chasing the win and can’t clear the fucking ball when we had too.

That was a hard won to take.  We should have gotten something from that game and be top of the group right now.  Hugely disappointing.

Ojo just doesn’t seem up to it.  The midfield three are too defensive.  We need a number 10 type to support the striker rather than have three sitting central midfielders.
