The Hammer 11 2,398
Thinking of taking my 5 year old niece to her first game against Motherwell at the end of the month. What’s the atmosphere and facilities like in the family stand. Want it to be a good experience for so she gets into it any recommendations would be welcome. Normally sit in the old east enclosure or the Sandy Jardine Rear when I go to games so don’t know if I’d be better just trying to get tickets in there
TMB 14,167
They have a face painter and some games they can get involved in prematch. My advice would be to try and get seats right up the back. That way you can sit her on the concrete ledge up the back (not as dangerous as it might sound) and she’ll see over everyone else no problem. I did this with my little boy. What’s it like atmosphere wise, she’ll be wanting to get involved in the singing hope it’s no like a morgue up there

We’ve sat there for 5 years in BR4 and it’s fine. If you sit in BR1/BR2 it’s directly above the union bears so there is more singing there but our seats have a brilliant view of the pitch. We were moved to the main stand for the Feyenoord game and I didn’t like the seats there as much as my seat in the family stand!

Plus, you get a right good view of the away support if they set of flares or start kicking off.

Bring plenty of snacks etc and I brought an iPad just in case but soon as game started he wanted to watch. Ended up leaving 10 mins early as wee man was getting cold and had a few toilet breaks but small price to pay to see his face when Rangers scored 🇬🇧
