Cheers mate. Life turned upside down - always thought we were immune, life's not simple.   Small graces. Honestly tonight, its a massive release, you just cant beat it - even if the missus doesnt appreciate the football

I'm sure she appreciates how happy you are after the game though.

Strange game. We didn't click that first half, but Alfie was relentless throughout, whether up front or back defending. Really stood out. Twice he cleared the danger from corners.

Second half, bang, pick it it out. Thought it was coming. Has matured greatly in such a short time. Got a bit of rough treatment and never flinched once. Looking very accomplished. He is head and shoulders above everyone in the game  up here. Can't put a value on him now, but it will be a record by a long shot.

Barisic on the angry pills. Good to watch. Kamara a heavy shift. Jack and so on. Not the most fluent of performances, but the chatacter of the team is being built into a solid unit.

Says so much for the progression under Gerrard that we didn't even play particularly well but beat a quality outfit like Porto 2-0. Was slightly half cut but don't remember them have many great chances either

Have to admit I bricked it first half, thinking we are better than this.

Alfie worked his butt off throughout. Thought Porto were pretty slick but done fuck all in the final third. Alfie just had to get that one ball and he did. A wee piece of brilliance.

A hard shift for the midfield, but all said and we done pretty good indeed against a decent side.

Thought Porto looked like they were all giants ffs, but maybe me being a wee cunt it just seemed that way!

We have such a great opportunity to qualify. The team are growing in stature, showing great character and we will do it and the pampers will be soaking when we do!

Some result out of a poor first half, thought the turning point was when Pepe injured himself trying to tackle Alfredo, he was marshalling them well. Their discipline went after that and we got into the game more with AM leading the line. What a goal what a player and a hand in Davis goal. Thought Kamara had an excellent game. But Alfredos worth the entrance money alone.
