I wish we would look at the possibility of having  Someone with the motivational capabilities of a Gough , Butcher, or Roberts around the squad to drive a do or die mentality into the squad. Or even if only to hammer home the mental attitude and what it takes to be a Ranger.

Wasn't that supposed to be Andy King's job?

No idea what's happened to the guy

Exactly. Tav shouldn’t have even needed to make the decision because Gerrard should have said nope change of plan, Tav is taking it once it was awarded. With the day that Morelos was having he never looked confident of scoring it and letting him take it ultimately finished us off (team and crowd died at that point) and cost us the game.

Essentially what I was actually wanting to say underneath the rage and reactionary response I hit out with.

I still don’t think Morelos should’ve been anywhere near that penalty.

And I know Tavernier had a good game.

Had the misfortune of listening to Gary "Pep" Caldwell having a go at him yesterday on Sportsound last night, apparently he got rid of him at Wigan because of his mentality and doubted he had the attributes to be a Captain. Shockingly Michael Steward defended Tav.

The funny thing when I saw Goldson tackle on Eduord, Caldwell was the first person I thought off.

Tavs one of our best players but never a captain.

If Tav had done that and missed folk would of went absolutely fucking mental, can't get my head round people criticising him for Sunday.

Morelos should of been taking that penalty, anyone who says otherwise is an idiot.

The choice between a £20m striker who's scored 20 goals this season or a full back who's missed 4 penalties this season?

It was a shit penalty and that's it but it absolutely should of been Morelos taking it as 95% if the support was saying when Tav missed his last one.

I’d be having Barisic on pens as well tbh. Has a similar kind of technique to Kane when he hits the ball, basically if you get in front of it you’re going in the net with it as well.

I had no confidence when Morelos was going to hit it, he just isn’t that type of player

I would just go for a Sports Psychologist trained in that field to try and motivate them and make them winners in their own minds.

I have been on about it for the past year of so and if we are not using one I think it is a poor decision. If we are using one then that person is not good enough.

Heard it too. Thought it was ridiculous for a manager to say that about a former player. Completely unnecessary and personal. Cheap shot but really not surprised anymore.

If Tav hadn't handed the ball over no one would even be discussing it. It's the psychology of him picking it up and handing it to him that has gotten people thinking about it.

Who's a 20mill striker?

Patrick got rid of him because he’s a known dud and relegation specialist.

Yeah was an inspired decision wasn’t it.

When Micheal Stewart is the reasonable pundit of the two you know it's bad.

Gough has worked with the team I believe:

The pair hit it off immediately, with Gough on hand to offer some late advice ahead of Gers’ clash with NK Osijek on Thursday night.

Goldson intends to seek Gough’s counsel in the future, as he immerses himself in the traditions of the club he’s hoping to return to the very top.

Goldson, 25, revealed: “It was really good to chat to Richard Gough. He told me a few things guys like Walter Smith used to say.

“We spoke before the Osijek game, and he told me not to worry if we didn’t score early on, just concentrate on doing my job.

“He said I’d done well so far. I really appreciated hearing it come from someone like him.

“Rangers’ history has been built by guys like Gough, it’s brilliant to have them around.

“It gives guys like us something to aspire to and work towards.

“Everyone is here to win things, and listening to those guys can only inspire us.”

Utter pish. Like it's going to turn the weak willed into warriors?

Telling us what we want to hear.

Couldn't intimidate a mouse. An imposter.
