What I don't get is why his save today, absolute cracker btw, was put down to Lugs placing it a good height.  It was a good pen and a great save.  Cup final Alfie hits it straight at Lurch and the kee

This is the fifth thread. Great, yes, world class no. Nobody in Scotland is anywhere near close to world class in all honesty.

Sorry m8....you have clearly forgotten about Eduard, Tierney,(when he was here) Macgregor, Christie, Forster, Frimpong....

He’s just a top keeper who never got the chance at the very highest level.

Hopefully we can get a couple more seasons out of him at this level, whoever eventually replaces him has very big boots to fill.

Only criticism of him is sometimes he’s a little flat footed and can get done by deflections (e.g. yesterday). But give him a shot from 20-25 yards to block or a close range reactive save and he’s one of the best we’ve had

He's been a great keeper for us and there's a reason he was our national goalie too, he's an excellent standard but he isn't world class. He also isn't in our top3 of all time keepers who were all a level up from him but some of his saves are incredible. Will be sorely missed when he retires and I hope boys getting loan time (like he did) go on and have a similar career.
