Not just from the stands but there is a constant undertone of it that is also evident in the press on a near daily basis. As recently as today you have Sutton (who I don’t want to draw attention to) totally dismissing and showing a lack of understanding of South American/Colombian culture by saying he “doesn’t buy” what the gesture he made on Sunday meant. That statement is ignorant at best and xenophobic at worst and yet there it is in a national newspaper in a desperate attempt to create a narrative. Their ex-players are laying it on thick on social media and in their newspaper columns to try and get him banned for it and, if you read any of the replies on any of the stories relating to the abuse he got, the comments sections are filled with whataboutery and flat out denials that it happened. The similarities are uncanny. A lot of the language, terminology, wording, innuendo, which to the naked eye seems innocent and lazy, is blatant racism. Most of the time it's very subtle. Sometimes it's as clear as day. Until you see all the evidence highlighted and stacked up, it's unbelievably damning. It's all the time now and it's by the same groups of people too. It's their life's work. They can't help themselves. They see him as our most valuable asset and the easy target and doing their utmost to discredit and destroy him, including his transfer value. I can but only imagine what Alfie and the non Scottish players think of this shitehole. I bet even Gerrard thought he had seen it all at Liverpool. I think he has had enough, because the obvious bias and cheating will affect our title challenge and hence that statement. They are utter scum. No words bad enough to describe those bastards. 2020 may turn out to be a defining year in more ways than one and let's hope to our glory, as those cunts are not for giving up the cheating and the demonisation.
