Shows up how the Taigs used a Pandemic to gain a trophy rather than risk losing it on the pitch.

Shocking how they have corrupted the game to such an extent that no one will even call them on it.

If anyone says it publicly they will be rounded on and hounded for daring to mention integrity and fairness.

Fucking joke.

Surely further highlights the shite ending our season early has caused.  Looks like Liverpool will get the chance to actually win their league title.

Despite the years of never winning the league, Liverpool have acted with class, not squealing to be awarded the title, and the FA not absolutely desperate to give them it, contrast that with Scotland, the tarriers given the title, absolutely no shame they running about shouting about 9 IAR, cunts even breaking into Ibrox, we really do live in an absolute cesspit .

exactly mate, they are so in control that clubs even when given a chance for someone independent to look at our game, they reject it, despite the pandemic and all the shite, Scottish football continues to find new ways to embarass itself.

Assuming we stuck to the Scottish Government's habit of doing things a week or two after westminster, we'd be re-starting the season almost a month after over 100 players in the Premiership's contracts will have expired.

I’m sure deals could be worked out to amend that issue.  No idea why you’re defending this shambles.  Embarrassing actually.

Clubs (including us) haven't even been able/willing to keep players on furlough/deferred wages just now, not a chance they'd be able to extend them at full whack to fit in a handful of games.

Not defending anything but pointing out the logisitics of how it simply isn't/wasn't going to happen up here. If contracts ran until July, there'd maybe have been a slight chance but with deals generally ending on Saturday, it was never going to.

Doesn't the same apply in regards to contracts in England, Germany, Italy & Spain yet they all find a way to get the leagues finished?

We never knew up here the EPL would restart mid June. Nor that the Bundesliga  would have restarted by now. Nor that we as a nation would typically be a couple of weeks behind Westminster.

What our spfl leaders did know was apparently that we had to race to award titles and trophies, with jackanory stories why and how it had to be done a certain way.

The fact we set the tone by racing for completion, whilst others took a breath and looked at how to resume competitive games should but wont shame Doncaster et al. Nothing ever will, including completing this season's SC in 2021 with entirely different squads and circumstances for the 4 remaining clubs.

Corrupt to the core.

And ?, it’s good enough for the scottish cup still to be played to a finish, all for one team.

Their contracts typically finish June 30th/July 1st. There's also the small matter of them having much more cash to be able to fund these extended contracts. Clubs up here generally survive hand-to-mouth and haven't had an substantial income since March. An imminent return would be behind closed doors, which means they'll continue not to get anything from their main income source but have to find a way to play players.

And I think they've got it badly wrong on the Scottish Cup. Not playing it until 2021 is fucking mental.

English league took their time and were looking to restart the season if it was deemed safe to do so.

Scottish league a mad dash to end the season and award silverware.

I agree with other posters as well regarding contracts. Why is it ok to continue Scottish cup when teams will have different squads but not the SPFL.

We all knew there wouldn't be fans in stadiums for a good while to come. We've not got the luxury of billion-pound TV deals to prop clubs up. They needs fans in the doors to pay wages.

Ah, the typical "can't do" Scottish attitude.

It's no wonder that the rest of the UK see Scotland as miserable, negative, moaning, whining, victimised place.

Always got to be seen to be different and normally for all the wrong reasons.

Cos these are the biggest leagues with the most tv money and figures.

Money always comes first. That is why these leagues are being pushed to finish

Ok, tell me how clubs pay players wages without gate receipts coming in?

Remember, many of these clubs have had to furlough many of their staff because they can't afford to pay full wages without any sizeable income.

We've even had to defer player wages because without our usual income it leaves us in a  difficult position financially.

I agree and totally understand why they should be finished but we never even entered the possibility of finishing the season and now we probably have a 10M liability.

And they lose all credibility to their argument by continuing to play the SC. We all know why to both decisions.

Two entirely different competitions organised by two different bodies. The SPFL don't organise the Scottish Cup. That's the SFA.
