He wasn’t exactly tested by the most formidable attackers by any means, but he was very impressive today. Looked everything you’d expect from a Nigerian international defender. Composed and comfortable, decent passing, courageous in the air as the post found out too. My mates and I were just saying we haven’t seen how quick he is just yet and then Anderson looked like he was clean through until the big man got the turbo boost out and tidied up. Great stuff. Where the fuck did this guy come from? Fast, good in the air, reads the game well. Him & Goldson could be a great pairing. I questioned Gerrard's decision pre match but he got this one right.
