We gain another 0.25 points a believe

1 point for the win, divided by 4 (4 teams from Scotland entered qualifying).

Apparently we got 1 point in yesterday due to

2 wins + 2 losses:

Rangers (+1.500)
celtic (+1.500)
Aberdeen (+0.500)
Motherwell (+0.500)

= 4.000 / 4 = 1.000

Does that mean now that only Rangers and celtic left we will get 1.5 points if both win, 1 for only one winning and 0.5 for 2 losses?

Correct me if I'm wrong but i hardly heard anything about coefficient points from 2012-2018

Didn’t matter because the tarriers were guaranteed CL qualifiers

Also made sure they didn’t have to admit relegating us was a shortsighted decision.

I think I messed up my original post...

UEFA Europa League points system
Preliminary round elimination – 0.5 points
First qualifying round elimination – 1 point
Second qualifying round elimination – 1.5 points
Third qualifying round elimination – 2 points
Play-off elimination – 2.5 points
Group stage win – 2 points
Group stage draw – 1 point

Any points gained previously and going forward would be divided by 4 due to 4 Scottish teams being involved in qualifying. I think....

Would it be right to assume if they had lost Scotland would be 11th after our win tonight ?

No idea mate, those coefficients calculations are straight out of NASA. Best wait till the end of the season or keep an eye on the Bert Konterman site

Two Scottish CL places confirmed for next season, though not straight into Group stages.

Scottish Champions go in at round 3, still two rounds till the groups

Runners up go in at round 2.

I believe there is an extra team added in the Europa as well.

Rangers being the biggest contributer to that.

Not that they will receive a formal thank you from the team who gets in.

So our reward is to allow whoever gets second behind us a chance to still get into the CL, and given the extra Europa slot earned, for all Scottish clubs to earn their points / 5, rather than 4.

Great. That last part's particularly a kicker as it means it's harder to get into a better pot when everyone else in Scotland keeps fucking up, divided even more than it is now.

It's not the Europa League but the new competition below that.
