coopsleftboot 5,512
Bobby McKean. Was around just at the start of me appreciating football, and I'd only been to a few games, and he was a guy that stood out for a 10-year-old (ish). Sadly taken so young when he was destined to be a great player for us.

Still don’t underestand why Scot Symon left him out of the European Final for Roger Hynd. he left dave wilson out as well

Happened a few days before the 1978 League Cup final against Them . I remember his performance against Hearts in the 1976 Scottish Cup final. He was unstoppable that day. shotstopper 765
Joe Mason. Not the most stylish of players. Bought from Morton and did a good job steadying our midfield at a time when times were lean.

Solid every single game, can’t actually think of him ever having a bad game for us. Take it you missed his games at Centre Half (the position he was bought for ) then ? Walter preferred Svensson over him until he could get Weir and Ehiogu signed . Fair play to him for reinventing himself at Left Back , but for an international player he was on a par with Russell Martin at Centre Back .

Many of his tackles were mistimed and made him look like a thug.

MisterC 12,269
Terry Hurlock was more than just a hatchet man, I think you guys are being very unfair on him. He had a good range of passing and worked hard. As for not being hard, do me a fucking favour!

CharlieT 65
The work rate of Harold Davis allowed Jim Baxter to be rubbish as a defender which was a large part of the job of a wing half.
