It appears that RFC have bought (EDIT - at least how it reads to me) the rights to SPFL football to sell the the 2nd largest country (x population) in the world, along with exclusive access to RTV.

Amongst this story is confirmation of a summer friendly with Bangalore FC

Indian Football - a recent history

India, which was once a sleeping football giant, has woken up with a bang.

First, the 2017 Fifa U-17 World Cup broke previous attendance records with over 1.3 million spectators. The global media attention garnered by the event helped develop sporting infrastructure, up-skill personnel and transfer knowledge to government organisations and businesses to stage major footballing events. As a result, India has now come a full circle by winning the hosting rights of the Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2020.

Second, the Indian Super League (ISL) , established in 2013, is leading the change in India as a developing football market. It has 155 million followers in the country and is the fifth biggest football league in the world in terms of average spectator attendance. It is behind only the Bundesliga (Germany), the Premier League (PL, the United Kingdom), La Liga (Spain) and Serie A (Italy), and ahead of the Major League Soccer (MLS, the United States of America), Ligue 1 (France) and Liga MX (Mexico).

What's the Disney logo all about?

Edit: Disney own it

Was there not an old joke about Walter Smith and Mickey Mouse, the punchline was Walt Disney? Can’t remember

Seems my reading was correct.

How embarrassing for SPFL & Doncaster in particular that one of its members clubs takes the rights to the entire league and sells it on, for a profit, while ensuring RFC is entwined in the deal for maximum exposure.

India has a population of 1.4billion people & apparently football is the fastest growing sport there.

RFC are tied to one of the major clubs & we have their best female footballer at our club.

This is what happens when you have a fully functioning commercial dept who are led by a guy (ex-UEFA) with what appears to be worldwide footballing & broadcast contacts.
