Exactly what it is mate .They know exactly what they are doing .And you know fine well ,it will be getting the blessing of the their club .They know the Sfa/Spfl are full of corrupt bheasts

It’s all about pressure ,setting the narrative in this crucial season .It also appeals to the thick and looney section of their support

It will also act as the first part of the siege mentality they will adopt ,the first sign of any ref giving any big decisions against them .Sneaky as fuck for me .It is not a new thing .They we’re doing all this back in 1998 and well before

but I’m just a paranoid Protestant 🙃

Is this their way of not having the manager or board doing it (who would get fined), but still getting the press attention wanted and thus making their point? (from the Evening Times):

"The celtic Supporters Association have written an open letter to the SFA blasting their decision to allow Hoops stars to report for international duty amid the coronavirus pandemic - and their appointment of John Beaton as the referee for the first derby of the season."

...

Joe O'Rourke wrote "I’ll make one last point Mr Maxwell, and it’s got nothing to do with the pandemic, although it seems like a virus. In this historic season when Glasgow celtic are attempting to write even more history by winning Ten in a Row, it seems that every attempt will be taken by the SFA/SPFL to stop us doing that.

"The appointment of John Beaton as referee is a complete slap in the face to celtic and our supporters. Beaton does not even try to hide where his allegiances lie. The last time he officiated at a Glasgow Derby, he had a shameful display of bias against one team, and after that match, he received the full backing of the SFA."

Presumably they want Clancy or Collum for every game.

It’s no mystery that Joe ORouke is a proven sectarian bigot. It is a mystery why he stopped using semicolons though. Why Joe and what does it mean.

London might be your best bet come the weekend tbh.

I'm looking at entry requirements on the Belgian Government websites for a week on Thursday for Liege game and it refers you to a map of Europe telling if you need to have a Covid certificate if arriving from any place in Europe - red zones means a Covid certificate if needed and the yellow/orange zones are more just wears masks and sanitise hands. Most of the UK including Scotland, North of England and Midlands is all in the red zone.

So it's just a matter of time - a few more days is my bet.

We're lucky that we fly from Heathrow to Brussels and London is in the yellow/orange zones.

Pretty sure that there are isolation rules for foreign travellers in Belgium at the minute and you will definitely have to isolate for two weeks when you come back.

Taig meltdown imminent 🤣🤣

Where does Joh Beaton go if he gives us a penalty at the weekend , or sends Brown or another scumbag off . It is highly unlikely but in his mind , he now knows if he does , his life or families  safety could be in jeapordy . That must be one of the reasons for Orourkes statement . A little reminder

Just booked a table in the masons arms in Kensal Green. Still not sure if I’m going but if I do I’ll have a table for the game.

So on first viewing of this it’s easy to start ripping the pish however let’s not get to quick to laugh this off as these cunts are the master of propaganda.

It’s clear nothing will change for this game however it sows the seeds for later on in the season where the right ref in the right circumstances may be the difference between winning the league not winning the league.

Essentially the pressure has now been put on the SPFL not to give Beaton another league game between us and them this season.

as Mr Miyagi used to say ‘he who laughs last, laughs longest’

ps i know it’s not him 😂

Yes I am sure this is the first of many of these 'open letters' imagine if they had experienced some of the decisions we have had to put up with over the last few years. They have some bloody cheek not wanting Beaton to ref the game.

It is certainly a way of putting pressure on the SFA/SPFL, do we have anyone able to write open letters on our behalf ??

Absolutely mate, it's a long winded and thinly veiled version of

"nice wee life you've got there, be a shame if something happened to it... "

Utter subhuman scum.

It would be 2 ahead with 1 game in hand with us having played one OF fixture away.

I'm pretty sure it's 2 games in hand.

Correct.  But the dick that said that would revel in it.

Aye mate I've bought season tickets for the last 5 year and supported the club for as long as I can remember because I revel in them lording it over us.

Walloper.

SFA to tell UEFA that no scum players will be allowed in internationals ? Where do you go with that ? If he was calling for a ban on international football during a pandemic most would agree with him - but he is not. Only wants a different playing field for scum. Heard that many times before.

As to the thinly veiled threat to Beaton that he had better toe the party line. Seen that before too. Whole letter is just a prime example of scum being scum.

It's the scum doing what they always do blaming everyone else.

They banked on crowds being back for this game and it backfired.

As for international calls ups every club knows the risks. I'm sure all would like to pull players if possible. Why should they be getting special privileges.

The part that cracked me up was the claim SPFL/SFA are doing everything to stop them winning tainted 10.

Organisations who have done more to help them than any other.

That was what I was thinking, it makes it difficult to fight against these wankers.

I was also wondering if the selick supporters association can be classed as totally separate from selick ?? That is a genuine question, nothing to do with the 'boys club separate identity'. :craphead:

Yes but that's irrelevant as your point was lose on Saturday and we would be behind with them having two games in hand?

However if we win at Kilmarnock it would be us top with them having two games in hand.

Over the piece they still have 2 games in hand, should've made it clearer but hey ho.

It's not often I'm left speechless nowadays after seeing some of the shite that's happening around the world just now but that statement is different level stuff.

I'm specifically talking about them saying the SFA/SPFL doing everything they can to stop them doing ten in a row - whilst ignoring the fact that it was the SFA/SPFL that helped sink us, giving them something like 5 titles of a head-start and then awarding them another one that they never even won only a few months ago.

and for them to complain about a referee, considering the decision's we've had against us these couple of years, well-documented decisions and instances that's literally cost us points in more than a few games.

Shameless fenian cunts honestly.

This x 100%.
