Previous shouldn't come into it when a referee officiates a new game. It should be a clean slate for every player.

However if the same player gets sent for a potential leg breaker it's reasonable to assess their previous misdemeanours afterwards. A simple check on social media will easily highlight this guy has made a career out of these cowardly assaults. His history is clear for all to see. 

Gordon Duncan can shut up. If Porteous continues like this, there is a genuine probability he will seriously injure someone. Duncan literally asking a caller to call back in the future if he does seriously injure someone!

How about we address this thugs conduct now BEFORE he seriously injures someone. He is dangerous.
