I liked Gerrard's comments regarding Balogun.  He said he knows the Wigan manager well and called him up to get a more detailed insight in to what the player was like before signing him.  It's easy to forget, but Gerrard has a wealth of contacts in the game.  You get the impression Rangers are doing their homework and trying to minimise risk with these loan with a view to buy deals.  Given the money waisted across the city on utter dross this should fill us all with confidence.  It feels like the club is in safe hands which was badly needed after Murty.  Gerrard is exactly the manager we needed.

It was a risk for us and him but it does seem to be working out to both our benefit.

None of this will mater if we don’t take three points Sunday

Biggest game of the season to date.

3-0 Rangers wee Alfy to get a brace. Bursting with confidence here. Lessons learned from the last two season...  none 😆

Canny help it 🇬🇧👊🏼

The only stat that matters is 55.

The attitude we have now is that every next game is the biggest game of the season.   Keep that attitude going and we won’t go far wrong.

In a nutshell. The attitude from the players has been different class this season. There's a distinct toughness, head down, get the job done first and foremost seriousness in the way they've set about their task. Keep this squad together and I doubt many would bet against Gerrard being the manager that achieves 55.
