This place is mental.

Scum release break even figures - Look they can only get profits by selling players, horrific figures and are in huge trouble.

We release huge loses - Nothing to worry about we can sell players to break even.

Fucking hell.

The reality is the majority on here have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, have never run a business (let alone one the size of Rangers) and their commentary on the accounts isn’t worth anything.

Just saw this on FF:

From the financial report....
The Group has submitted a claim on its Business Interruption insurance for losses caused by COVID-19, the curtailment of the 2019/20 season and the ongoing pandemic, which continues to impact a number of revenue streams and the use of the Stadium. The scale and timing of any claim is uncertain, however we have recognised amounts received from our insurers against our claim to date.

Received £1.25m so far

It's a worry seeing those figures but the board have never pretended we'd be making profits by this point.

I do think if the investments come to fruition this year by winning the league then getting to the CL it changes our whole financial landscape massively. If we deliver on the pitch this year I'm optimistic our club can grow massively pretty quickly. Without the pressure of their tainted 10 hanging over us we will flourish.

Massive season for various reasons.

Eskbank is the man for this but all the other stuff is there in black and white.

it’s not pretty even if my commentary is worth nothing.

Alright on paper but in reality, very few of those players have attracted any significant offers. Difficult to know what the market will look like in the summer with Covid impact etc as well.

Exactly mate, Morelos was our big pay day, it never happened, it won't be happening now.

The operating loss is effectively the shortfall in gate receipts.

Taking an average ticket being £28.

League games 5000 fans x  £28 x 19 games:  About £2.6M

Europe, 50000 fans x £28 x 6 to include qualifiers and group. About £8.4M

So that is £11M so far

Any additional European games about £1.4M each.

Add on home domestic cup games and we are up to around £15M lost income.

Have you just disregarded all of the associated costs of hosting those games?

Not included and I haven’t added on additional corporate, merchandising and other match day revenue.   They will balance each other out.  Feel free to give a more rounded estimate if you like but it is a decent starting point.

I am seeing the other lot saying we have spent so much that we are breaking FFP rules and need kicked out of European football

How accurate is this?

The Taigs are financial experts mate. So whatever they are saying must be 100% accurate.

Admin 23 and sent down to Junior football for us now. :rip:

Isn't this year and next year being taken as a single period now?

Not 100% sure how they are doing it. But what celtic fans are doing is taking the combined 3 year loss of about £43m which is higher than is allowed. But it’s not as simple as that as a lot of the expenditure isn’t included such as youth academy, infrastructure & lots of other things.
