So are we still better than Benfica on head-to-head? Do we better them in away goals or something? Because if so that's absolutely huge. We're favourites to top the group in that cause because it's an extra point over Benfica.

Yeah, that's how I understand it

Thought Galatasaray looked much bigger and stronger. They just happened to underestimate how good we were.

Don't agree with that thought Benfica looked way better. And honestly they probably would have thumped us in Lisbon if they didn't go down to 10

That's massive, coming out of these 2 games with the better head to head is almost a win in itself. It means all we need to do is match their points in the last 2 games and we top the group. Would be a fantastic achievement

Benfica are a top side, CL level - their pressing and aggression was tough to play against. Never felt comfortable at any point in the game, and no shame to come away unbeaten in two games having scored 5 goals against them. Obviously frustrating the way the games panned out but still in a strong position.

I think both of us win next week.

Be interesting in the final game, can see both of us playing reserves in such a scenario tbh.

Think we are very capable of taking 6 points. Wouldn't play reserves personally, think it's important we top the group, will make progression in the knockouts (hopefully) a lot easier and that's not something I don't care about. Would be great to get through a couple rounds.

Think we have enough players to rotate, that's the beauty of our "reserves" though. You can easily bring in a midfield of Zungu, Jack, Aribo sitting behind Hagi, Helander back in defence and you haven't really weakened. Even Bassey or Itten would do fine as well. Should be easy to manage the squad to ensure we have a full strength team out, just a different full strength team

They will be saying Rangers are the most difficult appointments they have faced. Two good teams. Benfica are not your run of the mill SPFL team.

Thought you were on about the fact that we're above Benfica as the BT Sports table has them above us on goal difference which doesn't count. Obv IMO

No I'm talking about the fact his table is from before Liege scored the winner

imo

Exactly, and look how delighted they were to get a draw. This is team with a market value of maybe hundreds of millions (just from a quick check online tbf).   Light years ahead of anything we'll face domestically.
