Essandoh 11,109
I’ve stuck the 2003 Masters Football on (Amazon Prime) to play in the background today for work and Nicky Walker is in goals Admittedly the 80s is a period of Rangers that I’m very ignorant with and couldn’t tell you too much about outside the big players What was he like for Rangers when he played? Wiki says he only played 75 times over 7 years, not including cup games
Popular Post Blueshoff 5,051
Seemed to play more than 75 times. Decent keeper I thought. Nice hair. Apparently part of the Walkers shortbread family. tannerall, LegendofCoop, Essandoh and 2 others like this

Never really seen him for us. Just the vibe I got. I remember him more for Hearts and seemed to do ok with them with Henry Smith (I think) taking it about for the number one spot. My best memory of Nicky Walker was in 1992 my Boy's Brigade got comp tickets for Scotland vs Germany at Ibrox (Karl-Heinz Riedle scored the only goal) and me and my pals spent the whole match chanting "Nicky Walker's shite, we want Goram!" Don't know what's more a riddy that wee song as a kid or going to a Scotland game. tannerall and Essandoh like this

the sliver fox 1,295
I used to play Sunday League welfare matches with his brother Rick, and yes, he is part of the shortbread family, his dad is Joe, the head honcho. Essandoh likes this
onefootwillie 1,496
I watched him regularly when he played for us, like a lot of the team at that point he was fairly average. Nothing against him but nowhere near the quality we have enjoyed in this position since then G13 likes this

Just been on their site. Nice company, they asked if I would accept cookies and I said yes, though would have preferred shortbread. Hopefully they'll arrive in time for the New Year. When Souness came in his first signing was Woods, which was the main reason he played so few games. hammer93 9,692
Walker was taking over from big McCloy around 83/84....it was grim times in those days but Walker was a capable back up when we signed Woods in 86....I'm sure in Woods 2nd season he missed a large chunk to an ear infection which affected his balance....Walker played a lot that season as his deputy....I think he was in goals for the league cup final against the sheep....can't remember if it was the 88 game or the 89 game
